FIELD is a musical project conceived as the soundtrack to an imaginary film.
In this work, the creative logic is reversed: it is not the images that generate the music, but the music itself that brings images to life.
The compositions and soundscapes evoke cinematic sequences, storylines, and characters that take shape uniquely within each listener’s imagination. In this way, every listener becomes a co-author of an inner western, where the soundtrack comes first and suggests the film.
With FIELD, Ulrich Sandner explores a musical language that blends jazz, blues, folk, and cinematic atmospheres, creating a listening experience that transcends genres and invites deep imagination.
The artist performs all the music himself, joined by Italo-British artist Elle, who contributes vocals, choral textures, and sound design elements. The album closes with a theme written and performed in collaboration with Catalan singer-songwriter Jordi Pèlach.
