“In an old mill at the bottom of a forest-choked valley, a mad painter pursued his visions. These commanded him, whispering in his ears, the enormous frescoes that filled the walls of the many rooms of the house.

The strokes of his brush followed the secret rhythm of the sap in the trees and drew images of dark mythological figures, young and languid women and vast territories with dry and infertile land.
Next to the mill, to support the large wheel that rotated in the river water, the painter had built, board upon board, a workshop in which he could unleash his art. Moving, it raised clouds of dust and dirt that looked like small storms on the cement floor.
At the same time, in the same place, in a marble palace as large as a cathedral, a goat with black fleece commanded the painter’s visions and ordered his art not to let escape even the smallest of the last angels remained alive…”
2014 album, songs and music that describe a magical story of painters, demons and forests. The songs are composed by Ulrich Sandner, inspired by Goya’s Black Paintings and suggest the Italian artist Paolo Dolzan to create other beautiful paintings related to the album.
